The current research has conducted a critical discourse analysis of Boris Johnson's political speeches on Covid-19. It is an epidemic that has caused catastrophic consequences for the entire world. Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and novel coronavirus (COVID19), both of which originated in Wuhan in Hubei Province of China, have spread rapidly around the world and are already affecting people's daily lives (Huang et al., 2020 ) and according to the global scale in November 2020. This virus triggered an outbreak of infection and a chain of diseases that resulted in 1,209,269 deaths globally and high death rates (i.e. 47,191,844 confirmed cases),
