Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) are seen as two of the most world-changing technologies of the 21st century. Augmented Reality is an enhanced, interactive version of a real-world environment that is achieved through digital visuals, sounds, and other sensory stimuli via holographic technology. Augmented reality includes three features: a combination of the digital and physical worlds, real-time interactions, and precise 3D identification of real and virtual objects. It also means virtual reality (VR) an immersive computer simulation system. This type of system is often referred to as 3D interactive graphics. High-end virtual reality systems include special devices such as wearable computers, virtual reality rooms, and haptic devices. This new age of augmented and virtual reality brings new issues to consider, not only from a scientific point of view but also on the side of societal, cultural and educational impact. The use of AR / VR technologies has led to an improvement in children's education and development of their skills, to develop their educational abilities, social and cognitive skills.
Therefore, this new technology (augmented reality, virtual reality) can be used in the field of interior design in many ways, allowing the child a direct interactive experience that helps him understand the real physical world, and promotes learning of skills more effectively. This can be done by integrating and strengthening this technology in the design process of the internal spaces related to the education and development of children's skills, including (children's museums and exhibitions - exploration centers - educational studios to develop children's abilities and skills ....). Where a child can immerse themselves in complete experiences and be exposed to a whole new way of learning and skill development. Hence, the research problem: How to integrate augmented reality technology and virtual reality in interior design to achieve an interactive environment capable of developing children's skills? The research aims to: deduce the role of technology (augmented reality - virtual reality) and integrate it with the internal spaces to develop the child's skills in various fields (mental - motor - physical - social - emotional). The importance of the research lies in paying attention to the developmental aspect of the child's skills and support. The research assumes: By integrating and benefiting from the technology of augmented reality and virtual reality in the process of designing the interior spaces, it is possible to enhance and develop many of the child's abilities and skills. Among the most important findings of the research: 1- It is possible to develop the internal spaces allocated to children through the integration of advanced technologies (augmented reality - virtual reality) in the design process, which contributes to the development of children's skills.
2- Creating an enhanced or virtual environment with interior design through space determinants (walls - floors - ceilings - furniture design ....) to achieve an interactive experience that helps and develops the abilities and skills of the child
