Seeds of (M&na and Horus) sorghum hybrids were sown on i st June if) 2001
and 2D02 seasons at Ras Seer Experimental Statioo - Desert Research Cent6r
(DR C) - South Sinla Governorate. Three different wells containing throe different
levels of 'sallne water (2970. <1580 and 9350 ppm) were used In irrigation. Sulfur
fertilizer was added at rates of 150. 300 and 450 kg I fed. Results revealed that grain
yie'd reduced by 14.2% with ·.vater sali(\lty 4580 ppm and by 34.5% when salinity
increased 10 9350 ppm. On the other hand. lodder yield decreased only by 3.1 300
10.8% at the same levels of salinity respectlvely. These findings illustrate that fodder
yic!d was less anecrec by s.aJ1nity while the dramatic aHect of salinity was Observed in
grain yield. Hybrid Horus show superiority in salinity tolerant compared wllh ~"ena
hybrid. All recorded characters of Horus hybrid showed signl~C than Mena hybrid. Superiority of Horus reached a percenlage of 18.4% and 5.5% for
grain and fodder yields respectively. Grain yield increased by 39.3~% and 202%.

150 to 300 kglfed. and 450 kg/fed. respectively. The greatest 9rilln and fodder Yields
were Obtained of hybrid Horus under the lowest sal! concentration (2970 ppm). The
most pronounced values or growth and yield were observed when Ihe maxrmurn sulfur
fer1ilizer (450 kg/fed) and water contained tha lowest salt conc. (~70 ppm)were used.
The higher gr-ain yield was obtained of Horus hybrid received 450 kg SHed. It IS
