Abstract

This research aimed to identify some of personal and professional characteristics of marine fish farming enterprises, identify the level of adoption fish farming enterprises for the innovations extension recommendations of mariculture, determine the relationship between the level of adoption fish farming enterprises the innovations extension recommendations of mariculture and the independent variables studied, identify some of the problems facing marine fish farming enterprises, and suggestions of fish farmers for development of mariculture.
this research conducted at Al-Deeph triangle, Damietta governorate because its importance in mariculture, and rely on questionnaire through personal interview to collect data from a simple random sample reached 170 farmers during March and April 2016, has been used to analyze data both tabular presentation loops and percentages, and the Chi-Square test and coefficient of compatibility.
The most important results showed that nearly two-thirds of respondents (64.7%) the level of adoption for the innovations extension recommendations for mariculture located between weak and average level of adoption, the results showed there was a significant relationship at the level (0.01) between the level of adoption fish farming enterprises for the innovations extension recommendations in mariculture and between each of the number of experience, culture farm system, significant relations at the level of (0.05) between the level adoption of fish farming enterprises respondents to the innovations extension recommendations in mariculture and between age, number of family children, fish farm area, the availability of the innovations equipment, participating in aquaculture association.
The results showed that the most important problems facing fish farming enterprises in mariculture: industrial feed high price of Mariculture, fry marine fish high prices, and the problem of the length of production cycle in marine fish farming, and the most important proposals for the development of mariculture: establishment of fry hatcheries, find low prices alternatives for feed, and increase the rental period.
