Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the social and environmental problems of the boys who drop out of education working in the collection and recycling of waste, in Manshiyet Nasser neighborhood, and in order to achieve the objectives of the study, a sample of 200 individuals was selected distributed among the boys who drop out of education working in the collection and recycling of waste in Manshiyet Nasser. The boys working between the workshops And factories in the neighborhood, and with regard to the methodological procedures, the researchers used the theories of functional constructivism, dependence, and Marxist theory, and the researchers also used the descriptive approach using social survey, and the tool was a corresponding form to identify the nature of the socio-environmental problems that these boys are exposed to after their leakage and the direction of employment to collect and recycle waste In Manshaet Nasser neighborhood The results of the study concluded that there are several factors that were the primary motivation for dropping out of education, including: poverty, lack of linking education to income opportunities for dropouts' families, some students being bullied because of their academic delay, the inheritance of the profession of collecting and recycling waste in Manshiyet Nasser, and the absence of school homes in informal areas when Repeated absence of male and female students. The research recommends the following: Activating the school role in taking appropriate measures to return dropouts to school again. The state must pay attention to the waste collection and recycling industry through the creation of its own body within the Ministry of Environment, as well as attention to civil society initiatives and popular campaigns to protect dropouts from delinquency and addiction, and the study also recommended the importance of preserving the role that MPs of Parliament and Trade unions play in sponsoring campaigns Related to achieving a better future after school dropouts join the labor market, especially labor in the collection and recycling of waste.
